God bless you!

You came out of your way
You sat down to speak to me
What amazing grace
That you’ve shown, so patiently

And You, waited for me
Just for me
For me

You called out my name
Knew my past, covered my shame
This amazing grace
You’ve shown, so patiently

And You, You waited for me, just for me
You waited for me, just for me

Where would I be? If You left me God.

You waited, waited

What amazing grace
That you’ve shown, so patiently
You’ve shown, so patiently

And You, You waited for me, just for me
You, You waited for me, just for me

Dear Fellow Single Lady,

Sometimes it feels like we’re the only ones left in the world. Like all the other single girls have dropped like flies and gotten into relationships—especially on the holidays.IMG-20170626-WA0000.jpg

Those days we turn off Instagram so we don’t see the bouquets every other girl has received. The ever-present reminder that we, out of all the other people in the world, are still single. The days we hide every hope and dream under a thick layer of sarcasm and cynicism, pretending we don’t really care about our relationship status on Facebook.

I’m with you.

Your heavenly Father sees these beautiful, hidden desires of your heart. In fact, He placed them there. They’re not wrong; they’re not something to be ashamed of; they’re something to celebrate.

As a little girl, I fell in love with the idea of finding Prince Charming and getting some major bling on my left ring finger as soon as possible, thank you very much. By age twenty four, I intended to be married, funny how time flies, and here I am with no ring on my finger.

Oddly enough, I think I’m finally okay with that.

Girls, here’s what I long to share with you, the truths that have brought comfort to my soul: Our dreams of romance and forever love are beautiful desires.
They’re not something we have to discard to pretend we’re happy being single. They’re something to celebrate and surrender.

But our dream of a happily ever after starts NOW, not later.

We’ve heard this a hundred times, but it’s true! All my life I waited for my husband, thinking life and happiness would start when he showed up. (Preferably wrapped in a sparkly, pink package labeled: “To Stella. From God. Contains ‘The One.’”) I didn’t see the moments I was already living as truly happy, truly full. Why?
Because I didn’t trust my heavenly Father.

If there’s one thing I long for all of you to know, it’s this: The One who holds our future in His hands—He is GOOD.

I never trusted God. I didn’t really think He cared for me, not enough, anyway. I thought, Surely You need my help finding my husband. Surely I need to take this in my own hands and stress and worry about it! But the truth is . . . He is GOOD, and He is sovereign. Matthew 6 says not to worry about tomorrow, but to live fully today, knowing the One who holds our future. Knowing He cares even for the birds of the air enough to feed and house them. How much more does He care for us!

Most of my life I’ve written a sappy, sobbing love letter to my future husband. That’s great, but it didn’t help my heart very much. I just found myself focused on what I didn’t have, when I should have been focused on what I did have.: Friends. Family. Job. Passion. Joy. And above all else, I have a heavenly Father who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Ps. 50:10), who is sovereign over all of life (Acts 4:24), and who sees me (Gen. 16:3). He knows me (John 10:14–15). He loves me (Jer. 31:3) more deeply and fully than I could ever imagine.

So to all you single ladies, this is what I would say: Your heavenly Father sees these beautiful, hidden desires of your heart. In fact, He placed them there. They’re not wrong; they’re not something to be ashamed of; they’re something to celebrate.

But He also sees beyond our time frame. He sees the whole picture, a greater plan. His ways are higher than ours. And right here, right now, even in the waiting, we can rejoice in what we already have.

We can rejoice knowing the One who holds our hearts is faithful, trustworthy, and loves us more than we can ever imagine.
I pray that today you would come closer than ever before to your heavenly Father and know that He cares for you.
He’s already given you a happily ever after. It’s already started. It’s up to us that we live in it.

I accepted Jesus into my life on the 2nd of October 2005. Before then I would describe myself as a church goer. Before I became born again, I struggled with habits, inferiority complex and even health issues. After I became born again, I decided to dedicate my life to service not because I wanted recognition or attention. I looked out for several opportunities to grow spiritually, I would save up to buy books, attend conferences and seminars whenever I had the chance to, and so on.

Being born again did not mean that I didn’t fall a few times rather I noticed that the taste for sin started dying gradually. I became more confident to take up responsibilities because I was conscious of the fact that I had the Holyspirit as my helper and his wisdom radiates in me. I’m very particular about my association and things I do because I understand that my life does not belong to me. Now this is not in any way a burden rather it gives me a sense of responsibility. I found hope, peace and purpose in Christ.

I’ve made a few decisions in life that I may not be proud of but giving my life to Christ is definitely the best decision. I’m no longer afraid of the things that used to scare me before. I understand that I am fighting from the side of victory.

Some people say how are you sure there’s heaven or Jesus is the only way to eternal life? Trust me you have nothing to lose following him, it secured your present, future, posterity and eternity. Don’t waste your life, you don’t have a spare.

Jesus loves you and this is not a slogan. I pray that you come to understand the magnitude of this love, we look forward to having you on board!

Looking for a job is a job.
This is my first official post on HR related issues. I trust that this and subsequent posts will be of tremendous help to every reader. images(37)

Job hunting is a serious business whether or not you are currently employed. It’s however more challenging if you are currently not employed and even more for fresh graduates. Just like any job, it requires diligence, attention to details, some level of coordination and of course persistence. I’ll take these 4 points.

DILIGENCE : Your CV is the first impression any employer would have about you. It’s your opportunity to sell yourself to your future employer. You need to take your time to develop it and I don’t mean going online to copy and paste a job description especially if it’s not the same with what your current responsibilities.images(36)

ATTENTION TO DETAILS: This is a 2 way thing. Pay attention to details on your CV especially spelling errors, you can use the spell check on Microsoft Word for that. Also check that your phone number and email is correct, you don’t expect an HR manager to be searching for you on true caller with the amount of work on their desk. Put numbers you can easily be reached on and make it a habit to send texts or return calls when you miss calls. Pay attention to the job requirements to be sure it’s in line with your skill set

BE COORDINATED : There’s nothing as draining and tiring as an unorganized CV. Except you are applying for the position of graphics artist you definitely do not need to make your CV look like a museum display item. Keep it simple. Start from your most recent responsibility and please list out your job duties (This is extremely important). Look through the job description of the role you are applying for and tailor your CV to suit(Do not exaggerate)

PERSISTENCE : You don’t give up until you get the job you want. You don’t have a reason to. Regret mails just mean that you either don’t fit what that organization wants or its just not your job. Learn from every failure. If you have the opportunity to contact your interviewer after an unsuccessful interview you could genuinely ask for feedback, you’ll be amazed how much that could help.
